A quick word about North Carolina’s vehicle inspection:
North Carolina requires motor vehicles to be inspected annually before that vehicle's registration can be renewed. Vehicles must pass an auto inspection at a licensed inspection station in North Carolina. Creech Import Repair meets the requirements set forth by North Carolina. There are many parts to the inspection: brakes, lights, tires, steering functions, wiper blades, mirrors and emission standards. In order for brakes to pass inspection, the brakes must apply even force to each wheel equipped with brakes. Headlights must be either yellow or white and working bulbs must be installed on the vehicle. Vehicle horns must not be too loud and must work properly. The steering mechanism in the car must properly turn the wheels of the car. Windshield wipers must function properly. All tires on the vehicle must be properly inflated and must be able to hold pressure. Vehicles must be equipped with mirrors that provide a clear view of the highway.North Carolina also requires that cars have a muffler and a tail pipe and the vehicle should have working emission control devices such as catalytic converters, oxygen sensors and unleaded gas restrictors. Owners of vehicles that fail the inspection must be notified about the defects found. The vehicle must pass inspection or it cannot be registered.
